Since its founding in 1993 in Munich, Germany, the company has developed residential and contract furniture, lighting systems, medical and electronic equipment, automotive design consulting services, retail and trade environmental design solutions, public, residential and commercial interiors and brand strategies. Michael Neumayr Design has earned a reputation for its successful blend of European design history and Asian philosophy.
Dedicated to the vision and philosophy of its founder, Michael Neumayr Design takes a holistic approach to design that is influenced by his formal training at Art Center College of Design Pasadena and about the principles of Feng Shui, which he started to study in 1994, as well as his constant strive to provide sustainable design solutions which bring economy and ecology in balance. With his experienced international network of architects, interior designers, product designers and engineers, Michael Neumayr Design has been able to realize projects worldwide.
Recently Michael Neumayr Design was awarded with the world’s most prestigious design award, the Good Design Award, of the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design. His multiple award winning Stresemann CO 05 bar stool, has been introduced to the permanent collection of the Chicago Athenaeum, Museum of Architecture and Design.
