Theme: “ Design made in the Black Forest”
The task was to design a 450qm (4736sqft) fairstand, which conveyed a modern interpretation of the typical traditional features found in the famous German Black Forest region – where Hiller is located. The concept was designed to present Hillers’ state-of-the-art design collection and create a strong theme around its traditional environment.
Special attention was given to sustainable design principals, trying to reduce waste to a minimum, and designing with reclaimed our reusable materials. The stand’s wood siding was made of reclaimed construction lumber. The raised floors substructure was entirely made of rented wooden Euro-pallets. All vegetation used at the stand was replanted after used. All wood material, which couldn’t be recycled was used in the factory’s eco-friendly waste wood heating system. This approach significantly reduced the amount of resources needed to create an impressive and memorable trade show presentation.
