The blumat plant watering system works without any external electronic controls. The ceramic cone functions as a sensor and reacts to the moisture content of the soil surrounding it. When the ground is dry a vacuum is created inside the cone and a suction mechanism triggers the watering function. Every blumat is fully automatic and processes variables such as sunshine, air temperature, humidity and plant growth.
